Drafting New Lines
For our new car in 2025, we needed to transplant the existing brake system into the new car.Â
This requires new lines as the dimensions of the body have changed.
I explored revamping the brake system but found at most we might only save 1 kg maximum from switching to a dual circuit master cylinder over the existing two single cylinders.
Led and taught a team of 2 other students about the parts of a braking system and went over drafting lines in SolidWorks

Rear Line Leaks
Before our 2024 competition, the braking system was found to be leaking and wasn't providing enough force to pass the incline hold test.
Known leak location was cut off and I performed a pressure test to identify any hidden leaks which revealed one at the parking brake handle.
Both parking brake and right rear tee valves were replaced, lines were bleed to fix a soft pedal, and there have been no leaks since!
